Hello Katelyn & Judi,

We have made it back to Florida after a few days of visiting with friends and family and could not be happier with Peach.

She is a great little traveler. Absolutely a trooper  in the car. Within 15 minutes of leaving your house, she fell asleep for over 2 hours.

She visited at three different houses all with dogs (cockapoo / 105# rottweiler / 95# shepard-husky mix). Peach seems to like everyone and everything she comes into contact with and everyone sure does love her (only a lttle hosting dog jealousy was detected).

We put her in a crate at night and she was fine with that. Maybe the large dogs around made it an easy sell.

She handled the 22 hour trip from Chicago to home better than we did, but we're thinking that sleeping in a puppy bed in the back seat is easier than driving, right?

We arrived home at 2:30 am on Thursday and Peach was the only one ready to play. She already walks around her 'new house' like she owns the place and is staking out her favorite spots. She does not seem wild about the heat factor here, but she'll adjust. It does still feel like the dead of summer here and is less comfortable than the weather she left.

On Friday morning, after considering countless names, Peach was renamed Penny. It was kind of an omen deal. Bev was reading a book with a character who had a cockapoo named Penny when I saw your ad on puppyfinder, so it just seeemed to fit.

Later on Friday, Penny went to the vet. She weighed in at 6 pounds and checked out fine. She actually fell asleep on the steel table between phases of her checkup and again on the floor while we were just talking with the vet.

The vet asked a lot of questions about where Penny came from and was very impressed with her 'breeder care'. He said Penny had "received a lot of attention that unfortunately a lot of puppies don't" and that "your breeder did things like they should be done". He added "you should feel good about recommending this breeder". He even liked the food choice.

We have had her about a week now and Penny is proving to be just a wonderful puppy. She is smart, energetic, loving, somewhat obedient (for a puppy) and getting more 'furry' every day. We could not ask
for anything more and so happy to have found her.

You guys should be proud of a job well done.

Thanks for everything,

Bella is brushed daily, and she has been to a groomer once.  We love Bella, and she is well cared for.  I will keep in touch.  Thank you for the great job you did as the breeder, and the love and care you gave the dogs.

SADIE, formerly know as TAYLOR…   12/21/08

This female pup has brought so much joy and love to my home. My grandchildren all adore her as well. I had been to Dick Goddard’s Adoption Center a few days before I met Sadie and fell in love with a stray that was brought in just before I entered the building. These two dogs are nearly identical except that the stray is a bit older and has a curlier coat and a less-pretty face. I had signed the papers immediately to adopt her that following Saturday, as there’s a waiting period for strays just in case they’re recovered.

Sure enough, I had called the Center the following Tuesday to see if my daughter and her daughters could visit to see if they’d all get along. Of course, she’d been recovered. My heart sank, and I hurriedly began my internet search. By no coincidence, as I’m a woman of deep faith in our Creator, there was a look-alike for sale!

She too was a girl with an all-black coat named Taylor, who happened to be bred in Cleveland Area, a town in which I’d lived for years! After a couple emails and a couple phone calls, we arranged to come out that same snowy Tuesday evening to meet Taylor. All my girls loved her, and the home, with 7 or 8 other dogs, was so clean and full of love. In addition, since I’m retired, I was given Taylor, soon to be Sadie, at a wonderful price…

She’s very intelligent and listens when I firmly say “NO!” and goes into her crate on her own; it’s soooooo funny! She’s great regarding commands and is always at my side or a bit ahead of me, then stops to let me be the “pack leader”. In addition, she’s had very few “accidents” in my home or that of my daughter.

So, you could say that she’s my little Christmas Miracle, and I highly recommend this breeder. This is a household that truly loves and cares for dogs!

One more thing: she was spayed on Friday and never cried or showed any evidence of pain; she’s a trooper just like her new owner. We’re a pair of very independent gals!
